Forcescarp

Hello and welcome to Forces C.A.R.P, a carp angling project that provides a platform for recovery for veterans who suffer with both mental and physical injuries and/or illnesses sustained as a result of service.

Angling has long been recognised as a great way to relax and unwind and it offers positive benefits in helping those with physical and mental injuries as confirmed in recent studies by the Essex of University.
Carp angling offers the individual not only a challenging and relaxing pastime to assist them with their recovery, but also membership to a community of anglers who enjoy banter and comradeship, almost akin to that of being in the armed forces and involves them again in social circles.
We work alongside service charities such as Help for Heroes, BLESMA, Blind Veterans and Combat Stress and take out groups of individuals and introduce them to carp angling and help continue their journey in to the sport with progressive programmes and mentoring, we also provide training in 1st4sport angling coaching for individuals and alongside partners in the industry we offer work placement programmes, creating a truly unique sport recovery project with our veterans at the heart of what we do.
